Mercy League International

Is what the name indicates, a league of mercy. We are focused on two main areas of ministry.

Mercy: It is the object of our profession. We are called for its cause and know how to apply it when the opportunity arises. We believe the one great rift between man and God is sin... some call it "self" interest, but mercy is the antithesis to self. mercy is what we have received as Christians, and what we are about as we walk out our faith. Mercy is the call of all people who claim to be followers of Christ. There are many forms of mercy, but always, it is expressed in love. 

League: We are a league of people who are called away from passive existence. Some of the reasons to leave the “drift” are that there are dying and suffering people in the world, usually children, who are unwanted, destitute, and helpless. There are comparatively few in developing countries able to spend the time needed to be of service to those in need, which is why we send sojourners to work with nationals in various countries to help them care for their own people. In the same light, we believe that there is also a lasting value and effect for the sojourners, which can have a transformational effect for their lives. Furthermore, many nationals are positively influenced by our sojourners to take up the cause of their own people on an ongoing basis. We believe that sojourning brings a spark to everyone’s lives.

International: Mercy League is concerned with the plight of people internationally, where the rights and freedoms of our great nation(s) do not extend. Children are bought and sold into all manner of slavery and service, women are exploited, and the poor are ground into the dust by the rich and powerful. We partner with new and existing organizations around the globe. Our main paradigm is sustainability and empowering the local community to take up the cause of their people.
